Seeing Double

This week saw more Jon Morrissey Ltd drivers at the same race track transporting phenomenal racing cars, and there with different teams – McLaren and FF Corse – there for one purpose, to be the first through that chequered flag.

FF Corse and McLaren GT

Jon was driving the transporter for FF Corse (Ferrari) this week, off to the fantastic circuit that is Silverstone, home of British Motorsport.

Paul, another of our brilliant and reliable drivers for Jon Morrissey Ltd, took his turn in transporting the McLaren cars this weekend. Relishing the opportunity and never one to standby and just watch, he was helping out in the pit lane and loved getting his hands dirty in any way possible.

With both teams in with a shot this weekend, FF Corse down for Round 9 and 10 of the Sprint Championships, rolling two cars out of the pits, to hopefully see a successful race through to its end. And McLaren bringing the power for the GT Cup Championships, overall a fantastic weekend of end to end racing.

Also this week saw Gary, another of our drivers back to Assen, Holland with McLaren, driving through Europe, representing Jon Morrissey Ltd and McLaren a like.

Ex Forces Soldier with a Fantastic Charitable Effort

At Jon Morrissey Ltd we pride ourselves with having the best drivers in the world, mainly because of their background and experience. Employing ex service men and women is a privilege, and seeing what they do and how they conduct themselves, in and out of their job role is amazing to see.

Ex Forces Soldier Barry, is no exception to this, in mid June (with other reservists) Barry marched, with considerable weight on his back, 54 miles, in 20 hours and 23 minutes in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund, (ABF, The Soldiers Charity). Our hats go off to you Barry, a fantastic effort, well done.

Extra Responsibility

When one of our drivers is used in any business, it is not hard to understand why managers of firms like Upholstery Express include them in further responsibilities. With the calibre of drivers that we have, our drivers are trusted to ensure that deliveries and work is being completed, this is a real testament to their work ethic and drive. Clear to see by all. Well done.

New Clients, New Business Opportunities

As each week passes by we are seeing more new businesses trusting us to deliver their precious cargo so keep an eye out in our blog to find out who…

Busiest Week to date

This week has to be one of the busiest weeks we have ever had, after all the Motorsport jobs, we are still supplying drivers for our other regular clients, including;

IBI International (booking a steady stream of drivers this coming July)

IT Disposal (a number drivers working with the disposable IT company)

Complete Business Solutions (New client)

Penta Foods Ltd (drivers up to Manchester for a few weeks)

Delivered (Gary, one of our regular drivers, punching the hours in with the night trunking)

Finding the Time

As one of our drivers put it, “nice day for a play” as he whips round the Top Gear Track on his motorbike after a job well done with one of our regular clients. Work hard, play hard!

“A champion in business is not measured on how much they earn, they are measured on their ability to provide the service that no one else provides, doing it so well in fact, that others can not even emulate it. Profitable measurement to us is based on who we have on our team. A balance of both purpose and will to succeed, will amount to where we want to be”
